As your son or daughter backpacks through beautiful forests and mountains with a peer group and our well-trained staff, they learn new skills and attitudes and are given opportunities to exercise these skills. The surroundings naturally present challenges and your child will be encouraged to safely face these and to push beyond their own self-imposed limits. Here they can securely face their weaknesses, discover their strengths, and experience success. Your child will relish the experience and the newly won sense of self-esteem it brings, which enhances their ability to accomplish personal goals.

Mini Solo may be incorporated into a student's program. It is designed to provide participants with an opportunity for solitude, personal introspection, reflection and rest. During the Mini Solo participants are asked to complete journal assignments that focus on their specific issues. Mini Solo encompasses elements of independence self-sufficiency and patience.
